Measurements | James Blake
James Blake’s self-titled album is the only album I can think of which was released this year that I especially liked.
Please share your favorites of this year with me. Thanks. :)
Of what I’ve devoted enough time to so far:
Albums
- The Antlers - Burst Apart
- Bright Eyes - The People’s Key
- Clams Casino - Clams Casino
- Colin Stetson - New History Warfare Vol. 2: Judges
- EMA - Past Life Martyred Saints
- Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues
- Mother Mother - Eureka
- The Mountain Goats - All Eternals Deck
- The Rural Alberta Advantage - Departing
- Various Artists - 116 & Rising (Hessle Audio)
EPs
- Burial - Street Halo EP
- Childish Gambino - EP
- Wives - Wives
(ps: there were a lot of interesting sounds on James Blake’s self-titled, but it was just too inconsistent for me to really be a fan of it. But he has two very good tracks on 116 & Rising… just saying.)

Untold - Stop What You’re Doing (James Blake Remix)
My efforts to find dubstep that I like are starting to pay off. I don’t know if this is dubstep, or ‘post-dubstep’, or what, but I am in love.
James Blake continues to grow on me, and I’m finding a lot of other great stuff as well.
